Looks and sounds like writing for this character is a ton of fun. XD Gotta love his personality.

Oh yeah, he is just oodles of fun :D!

Was Maleficent one of the inspirations for this character?

Maybe a bit – but mostly no. He was inspired by various villians – Joker, MegaMind, Dracula, Skullkid – ect. MalefIcient is a magnificent villain tho :3

I don’t really like to be the one to go all negative, especially since I really enjoy the comic and has from the start. Just wanted to ask if it is possible to upload a smaller version on the page, and have a link to the larger version. My PC is having trouble viewing the pages lately.

We’ll see about lowering the size of the files – but it’d be tedious to go back and change them all. Sorry about your issue loading the pages, Im not sure if its due to file size or something to do with the Katbox’s server.

Does anyone remember which page we encountered Valmont in the comic for the first time?
I feel like I should skip back and reread that part, if any, but I can’t remember any page aside from the Überween Special where Valmont showed up.

I see now. Cast page states hes not yet introduced (probably not yet updated), so this is his first appearance.
The (non-canon) Uberween specials (and on closer inspection of the archives, some fillers as well) created a haunting “wait I’ve seen this character somewhere” effect.

If I were a betting man, I would have to say that his magic has been enhanced through either (1) forbidden magic practicing or (2) an Uber. Either way, I was not expecting Valmont to be so direct and evil. Based on his other introductions, he seemed to be more cheesy evil…like a combination of Skeletor’s evil laugh and Dr. Draken form Kim Possible.

I also noticed that the younger son is the only one not completely and utterly terrified. In fact, he seems kind of sadden with the fact that his cup of what appears to be cranberry juice has been spilled. I may be looking way too much into this, but that apple in Valmont’s and that wooden table reminds me of both Romeo and Juliet (last scene) and Sleeping Beauty (more so on the latter).
